Vaccine: See who can take the 4th dose of Covid in SP – 05/06/2022 – Equilíbrio e Saúde

The application of the second dose (or fourth dose) of the Covid-19 vaccine to people over the age of 50 and to adult health professionals, regardless of age, will begin this Monday (6) in the state of São Paulo.

In the capital city of São Paulo alone, about 1.5 million people have the right to strengthen their immunization against the new coronavirus.

According to the Department of Municipal Health, the public serving the new stages of the vaccine is made up of 943,000 people between the ages of 50 and 60, in addition to about 600,000 health professionals.

To receive this new booster, you must have been vaccinated for at least four months.

Until then, the fourth dose was applied to people who were immunocompromised from age 60 to age 18, such as those undergoing cancer treatment, transplant recipients, hemodialysis patients, and HIV-positive patients.

Immunocompromised patients should provide evidence of a risk status, such as prescriptions, physical or digital reports, cell phone photos, and other forms, as long as the patient is identified, stamped with a CRM doctor, and is valid for years of issue.

The State Department of Health said it would begin distributing doses to municipalities in São Paulo on Monday and is waiting for more vaccines from the Ministry of Health.

On Saturday (4) the federal government began to apply another reinforcement to the new coronavirus vaccine.

“The new guidelines in the folder, published in two technical notes, take into account the need to strengthen immunization for workers in this age group and in the front line of health services, with a higher risk of infection,” the ministry said.

According to the ministry, Pfizer, Janssen and Astrazeneca vaccines can be used, regardless of the dose previously applied.

Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga announced the release of a fourth dose for a group of 50-year-olds and older after a briefing on Thursday (2).

In the city of São Paulo, a flu vaccine will also be available from this Monday for those over 50 years of age.

The third dose is available for people 12 years of age or older.

Elderly people with a high level of immunosuppression, those over 60 years of age and those who have taken a second dose of strength for at least four months can take a fifth dose.

As of this Saturday, the city of São Paulo has already applied about 32 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Across the state, 87% of the target audience had at least two drinks. In the case of children aged 5 to 11, the rate is lower, with only 60.36% completing the cycle.

In the capital city of São Paulo, 470 UBS (Basic Health Units) will be open from 07:00 to 19:00. The council also has other vaccination points (see below).

To be vaccinated, you must bring an identity card and a vaccine certificate, which can be physical or virtual.

In the case of healthcare professionals, it is also necessary to bring a badge, payroll or statement from the company they work for. A Diploma or Class Council card will also be accepted.

Last Tuesday (31), the state secretariat said that 2.7 million people had not yet returned to the state vaccination posts to receive a second injection dose.

In the case of the third dose, or the first booster, there are about 10 million who may have already been immunized but did not attend. In almost the fourth dose, the number is 3.3 million late.

The strengthening of vaccination is taking place in the face of new growth in hospitalizations of patients with Covid-19.

In addition to public service stations, AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine is being administered in private clinics and pharmacies. The price is between R $ 229 and R $ 350.
