The Brazilian team has more wins in the UFC in 2022, but both starters hoped the scenario could change. This Saturday, Lucas Almeida of São Paulo and Karine Silva of the south of Mato Grosso performed well in the first fights of the organization, achieving spectacular victories in the UFC’s main card: Volkov x Rozenstruik, in Las Vegas.

Featherweight Lucas Almeida knocked out American Mike Trizano, the TUF winner, in one of the best fights of the event. Karine Silva beat the other Brazilian, Poliana Botelho, in the first round. In addition to the bottle, Santa Catarina also lost to Alex “Leko” da Silva, in a majority decision in favor of American Joe Solecki.
Lucas Almeida tends to fight Trizano
Former Jungle Fight champion Lucas Almeida came to the UFC with the seal of approval of Dana White, despite the failure that praised his performance in the Contender Series. He paid off his confidence in the fight against Mike Trizano, the TUF 27 champion, and won the 55s in the third round with a TKO.

Almeida hit from the start, throwing low shots and hitting hard hooks. Taking a step back, Trizano looked for the key, but could not remove his opponent. However, in the final seconds, the American scored a powerful cross that shook the Brazilian in a sequence that cut his eyebrows that tied his knee and led to a blow.
On the second lap, Almeida recovered and struck with a left hook. When the Brazilian entered the guard, a head-on collision opened a cut in the American’s forehead. Trizano rose, but Almeida remained stronger and more precise.
Paulista returned to the final round determined to end the fight. He hit his opponent with a hook on the body and hit Trizano, who followed him with a right hook. From there, he hammered until Judge Mark Smith interrupted him.
“Thank you, Dana White, for giving me the opportunity.” I’ll clear the category, save this! said the Sorocaba-SP athlete excitedly.

Karine Silva, from Mato Grosso do Sul, nicknamed “Killer” on her UFC debut. In his first choice, he presented the Poliana Botelho Mining Poliana and achieved his sixth consecutive victory, the first in the most famous octagon on the planet, in the first round at 4:55.
Poliana dominated the distance well in the beginning and hit more blows in the first lap. However, Karine made it very hard in the last minute and continued with a knockout entry. He closed a hand triangle and presented it to Botelho in the final seconds.
Alex Leko has lost a tough fight against Joe Solecki

Brazilian wrestler Alex “Leko” da Silva lost third in four UFC fights in a tough fight against American Joe Solecki, winning the pre-ticket (28-28, 28-27, 29-27) by a majority decision. Leko received the blow in the first 20 seconds, directly in exchange for the right blow. On the ground, however, Solecki took a risk with his guard. At one point, the American closed a dangerous guillotine, but the Brazilian defended well.
On the second lap, Solecki did not give the bad luck the same chance: he quickly took Leko, carried him to the ground and turned his back on him. There he spent the entire round, and even the Brazilian was stripped of a point for hitting his fingers on the fence, despite being repeatedly warned by Judge Chris Tognoni. Aware that the discounted points put him at a disadvantage, Leko went up in the final round. He received more powerful blows, including some good live shots, but didn’t make it to the playoffs.
