UFC: Josh Emmett defeats Calvin Kattar on a card full of fights fight

The event ended on Saturday with nine games before the final round, with a featherweight match in Austin (USA). In a feud between the Americans, Josh Emmett defeated Calvin Kattar by breaking the decision (48-47, 47-48, 48-47) in the UFC Kattar vs. Emmett main event. It was his fifth consecutive victory.

– Dana, give me my title. I think I deserve it, I beat Kattarri and I look at the guys he has confronted and beaten. This division needs new blood, ”Emmett asked after the fight.

The two feather weights were well balanced and had tension on the first lap. Kattar cut Emmett’s left eye with a straight right hand, but it was Emmett who delivered the hardest blows, always taking the risk with his right hand. Kattar started to control more distance with the owner in the second round and reopened the cut on the opponent’s forehead. Emmett tried to respond with a late blitz in the round, but managed to get his knee bent.

Emmett reconnected with the bombs early in the third round, but Kattar increased during the round. He landed his jabs, uppercuts and elbows. Emmett responded again with a good end to the period, with a strong body hook, an uppercut on the left and a hook on the right. The fourth round was even more intense. Kattar twisted an elbow and followed Emmett with a straight sambar. But that didn’t stop Emmett from getting everything out in the final minutes.

With his left eye almost swollen due to inflammation, Emmett entered the final round by throwing open hooks and looking for a layoff. But Kattar hit with good blows and took the risk with his elbows. He also pulled out a good uppercut. Emmette also left his opponent’s left eye swollen due to the accumulation of blows. They both exchanged blows honestly in the final seconds, but without much precision.

Other highlights of the main card

Kazakh Damir Ismagulov and Georgian Guram Kutateladze had a very technical fight with many hard blows from both sides. Ismagulov finally announced the winner by splitting the decision and took 19 consecutive bouts to his winning streak. He promised to get to the light belt.

– UFC, I want a great fight! Top 15! In this jungle, there is a new king! Kazakha will take care of that, ”Ismagulov said in a post-fight interview.

American Joaquin Buckley and Russian Albert Duraev also starred in an excellent middleweight bout. They both made powerful high-pitched shots and opened cuts in each other’s faces. But Buckley’s fists were tied with more precision and strength. A right-handed man fell to the Russian and almost closed Duraev’s left eye, swollen. The Russian showed resilience and, despite another blow to his left hook, survived until the end of the second round. The doctor, however, assessed that Duraev could not continue – he could not see with his left eye – and put an end to the fight, which resulted in Buckley’s victory in the technical elimination.

Kevin Holland and Tim Means also put on a show at the welterweight. The two Americans exchanged blows clearly during the engagement. Holland’s lineup was more accurate and powerful. On the second lap, Means went head-to-head after a straight line from his opponent and ended up trapped in a hand triangle. He hurried out.
