The game itself had a common talk played for almost 90 minutes. Despite the exceptions, Corinthians took possession, but it took them a while to overcome the defensive block of União Suzano. The goal came in the 49th minute of the second half.

Although positive, the final result has no effect on Paulistão’s Corinthians sequence. With one more game to go in this phase, the team coached by Danilo, the leader of Group 9, reached 22 points in the nine matches played.

The game

Climbing

Coach Danilo opted for an alternative lineup in this Saturday’s duel. Thus, the team came to the field Wesley Borges; Léo Mana, Renato, Cressi and Abimael; Riquelme and Ryan; Littlefinger, Breno Bidon and Wesley; Thalisson.

My Destination

For the first time

Despite Corinthians ’clear technical dominance, União Suzano tried to use the‘ home factor ’in the opening minutes to impose on Timão. Thus, the home team wanted to mark the exit of the alvinegra ball on the offensive field, breaking part of the attacks of the Danilo team.

Corinthians ’first goal came in the eighth minute of the match, in a shot. In a free kick that went just wide of the goal, Breno Bidon sent a free kick in high over the penalty box.

In the attacking part of Corinthians, Thalisson acted as a striker and left Wesley and Littlefinger open at the ends, triangulated with the flanks and midfielders. In one of these moves, Léo Mana shot to the right and crossed to the 9th shirt, which the goalkeeper anticipated, but sent off.

Wasoley Borges, who was defending Timão’s goal, needed an effective goal in the 17th minute. Striker Fabinho started from the right and finished in a cross, with great force. Timão’s goalkeeper stretched and managed to deflect the shot from União Suzano’s striker.

As time went on, the Corinthians gained more and more control of the ball, taking advantage of the pairing between Wesley and Abimael on the left. The pair also came to serve Breno Bidon, who stole Matheus Narok’s net, invalidating the location of the midfielder alvinegro.

At this point, it was obvious that the players of União Suzano lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Wesley Borges was caught napping as Léo Manara lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper’s arms.

The last few minutes of the second half, oddly enough, showed a warmer game between the two teams, which started to create little in the attack. Corinthians and União Suzano were given a chance to change things around.

The Corinthians had their last hope of scoring in the first half from a long-range shot. Riquelme drove the steering wheel in the middle and took the left foot. The finish scared the opposing goalkeeper and almost put Timãozinho ahead.

The second time

Immediately, the União Suzano team wanted to attack the Corinthians from the right side of the alvinegra defense. After a short tussle with the defender, Léo Manak finally tucked the ball home.

União Suzano’s attacks, in the middle of a collective lack of attention from alvinegra’s defense, almost put the home side ahead five minutes into the second half. After rising in the area, Jeovan faced goalkeeper Wesley Borges in a region in the middle of the area. In the presentation, however, Renato made a beautiful cut and sent a corner.

It only came to Corinthians, in fact, that the ball was running in the final phase after ten minutes. Wesley, as in the first half, continued to drive on the left. In an individual play, Yan Santos was sent off inside the box and called for a penalty, but the referee did not respond.

As is customary in youth matches, fatigue began to interfere more and more with the performance of teams. Corinthians, quite anticipating the attack, began to encounter its technical flaws.

Part of Corinthians’ concern was on the left side of União Suzano’s attack. 7 A pass to the side pulled the defense out of position which let Wesley Borges slip through on goal.

To oxygenate his players, Danilo soon pushed for two changes at once. Defender Gustavo Henrique and striker Juninho replaced Léo Mana and Mindinho. In this way, Renato, who started the game as a defender, passed to the right defender.

Even after the changes, Wesley continued as the main offensive escape for the Danilo-trained team. After a solo tussle with the defender, 11 minutes into the match gave the keeper no chance! In the bid, however, no one managed to complete the goal.

The exchanges affected Corinthians, who gained a little more breath to get to the attack. Defensively, Gustavo Henrique improved the ball and Luan Lino started to shoot from the left. Wesley thus became the center-forward of the team in a position previously occupied by Thalisson.

Corinthians’ winning goal came in the 43rd minute of the second half. After a fine move down the middle Luan Lino nearly gave the home side a goal after 29 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though.

Only in the 49th minute of the second half did the game end. After a short tussle with the defender, Wesley finally tucked the ball home. The midfielder overtook the goalkeeper with a beautiful low shot and scored the winning goal in the stoppage time. Final 1 and 0 for Timão.
