America defeated Cuiab at Independence and entered the G4 of the Brazilian Championship

As a result, America reached fourth place with the Brazilian, with 14 points (the team ended up being overtaken by Coritiba, who tied Cear away from home). The win against Dourado also ended a six -game winless streak for Coelho.

America’s next commitment against Cear, again at Independencia, is for the Brazilian Championship. The match, valid for the 10th round, will take place on Wednesday (8), at 19h.

Nice early goals

The game got off to a busy start. America wanted to impose his aggressive style, advance the lines, put pressure on Cuiab and find a quick recovery on the ball. The mistakes of the last third, however, prevented the creation of good chances.

As the first stage progressed, the duel became more “broken”. Coelho controlled possession of the ball, but there were plenty of difficulties to progress on the field in front of Dourado’s strong mark. No team has finished dangerously.

In the 24th minute, however, a beautiful American move ended the “destruction”. With a beautiful cross from the defender, from a great distance, Al showed the power of penetration and a lot of conscience when finished with a fish. The ball hit Cuiab’s post and ended up in Joo Carlos’ net: 1 to 0.

The American’s goal made Dourado more relaxed in the game. The Mato Grosso team, who adopted a very closed posture at the start of the game, became more relaxed in search of the equalizer. Despite this, it has difficulties in connecting the most creative players and creating opportunities.

Coelho threatened again in the 35th minute, when Alosio kicked very fast, crossed, from inside the area, and forced Joo Carlos to make a good save. In the 41st minute, however, Vagner Mancini’s team had a “bucket of cold water”. Andr was triggered to freedom from within and, from a distance, hit a very strong, defenseless shot, under Jailson’s net: 1 to 1.

Second time

In the second half, coach Vagner Mancini pushed Everaldo to replace Gustavinho on the right side of the attack. The awakening took effect quickly! In 7 minutes, the winger found a beautiful cross for Felipe Azevedo. Once again with a small fish, America casts Cuiab’s nets: 2 to 1.

Dorado reacted. Five minutes later, with a beautiful attack, he almost equalized, but was stopped by a beautiful Jailson defense. With the need to find the result, the team from Mato Grosso took control of possession of the ball, but found an organized defense system from America.

In the 20th minute, Mancini promoted the return of Wellington Paulista after recovering from injury. The striker has not played since April 30. Slowly, Coelho regained control of the game, with a good exchange of passes in midfield and Everaldo heavily on the right side. Marlon threatened a beautiful shot from outside the area in the 31st minute, but the ball went close to the post.

In the end, Jailson gave American fans a lot of fear. The goalkeeper left the area to make a defensive cover and tried to dribble a Cuiab forward on the move. He lost the ball, but America quickly organized and recovered.

Finally, Coelho was in control of Dourado’s blood pressure. Without suffering, America achieved the win by 2 to 1 and entered the G4 of the Brazilian Championship.
